Wow, 2012 is almost over and it's onto new beginnings and new experiences in 2013!
It's been an eventful year! Lots of ups and lots of downs but all in all we've had a good year
In January, we said goodbye to my precious Nanny. She fought hard clear to the end but in the end she needed to go Home to be with Papa. She's missed every day.
She got to see Emmett turn 2 and just missed James turning 7! We had a lovely party with family & friends.
We were entrenched in homeschooling and just plugging through each day. In February I turned 28 (eeps!). In March we signed the older 2 up for their first swim lessons and began looking forward to spring! Josh had a health scare in March, a routine test showed something pretty scary...this bumped him to the inactive role on the transplant list and our lives were, once again, in hiatus. This is also the month when Emmett finally graduated speech therapy! So proud of him!! He never shuts up now! You'd never know he was delayed.
In April James took the standardized testing through the school which put him at nearly a 3rd grade level! In 1st grade, proud mama. We began baseball season in May and our team (the Red Fireballs/Red Ninjas) would play a 100% undefeated season! So proud of our boys!! Summer languished in nearly unbearable heat sending us to the pool almost daily.
In late June I learned we were expecting #4! Our fear/excitement/WHAT IN THE WORLD? quickly turned to sorrow when our baby went to heaven far too soon. Summer plugged along and we learned another blessing was on the way in September!
In October we celebrated Aldria's 5th birthday in grand style and finally announced our news in November :)
Now here we are, looking forward to 2013. Hopefully Josh will go back onto Active status for the transplant, we'll begin a new chapter of our lives as Josh begins school in just a few weeks, little Cora Paige will make her debut in May and in July we'll move! Hopefully this year brings great things, we're looking forward to it all!
Happy New Year!!
May you have more good days than bad, more healthy days than sick and may the smiles always outnumber the frowns.
